Triathlon Workshop

Triathlon Workshop

Back by popular demand, we are planning on hosting a triathlon workshop prior to the Trihawks Triathlon this year on Saturday, August 29th at the Coralville Res. at 10am. We welcome anyone from the local triathlon community, especially people new to the sport.

We have a set of helpful activities planned, and feel free to stop by for only the sections that you are interested in. Everyone is welcome at this event, we hope to make the event useful for every skill level from "never done a triathlon" to the local triathlon "experts" out there. Read the schedule below for more details, but to summarize: we will be talking through setting up a good transition area, discussing race nutrition, practicing transitions, discussing the race course, and giving tips for efficient swimming, biking, and running. Although the workshop will be limited to discussion and transition practice, you will have the opportunity to train on the race course after the workshop activities.

Any group swims, rides, and runs that occur after the workshop will not be considered part of this workshop, but Trihawks team members will most likely be training on the course at this time. This workshop will be a great time to meet some of the seasoned Trihawks members and other local people involved in the sport.
